This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website and our application pages.

The Soundcastle.co.uk website is owned and operated by Soundcastle, a not for profit social enterprise/company limited by guarantee.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you (your name and email address) when you join a Soundcastle project/ training. This information is based on active consent from you, the data subject, when you fill in your name and email address/ sign-up form. This data is stored on our online database, can only be accessed by Soundcastle’s Directors and will be removed when requested by you.

EMAIL NEWSLETTER

If you choose to join our email newsletter using the newsletter register form on this website, the email address that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third party data processor (see section below). The email address that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of our internal computer systems.

Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal via email to team@soundcastle.co.uk. When requesting removal via email, please send your email to us using the email account that is subscribed to the mailing list.

CPD data collection

We collect information about you if you contact us to undertake CPD (Continuing Professional Development). In this case your name, contact details, and details of your Professional Experience, Education and Professional Development, as provided by you, will be stored on our restricted-access online database.

In order to complete your application, you must consent to your data being stored on our database for two years unless removal is requested. You can always contact us with the request to remove your data and we will honour your request

How will we use the information about you?

We will only collect or use personal data for the purpose indicated at the time that the personal information was volunteered. Soundcastle will not use your personal information for new purposes without first asking for your consent.

If you have registered your interest in receiving mailings from us, we will email you with occasional newsletters, or CPD opportunities.

When you register information with us we will store the data you provide on our database. You can unsubscribe from this at any time by contacting us directly.

We will not share your personal information outside of our organisation without your consent. Information shared in the course of our business will be anonymised.

The information you provide to us will be stored on our Google Drive database, which is accessible only to Directors of Soundcastle.

ABOUT COOKIES

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
